You will be assessed through a combination of the following:
Written Assignments – Short question and answer sections at the end of each module to test your understanding of the material. These will cover both theoretical and practical aspects of equine intimate health.
Case Studies – You may be asked to analyse case studies or real-world scenarios to demonstrate your ability to apply the knowledge you've gained. This helps ensure you can transfer learning into practical situations.
Practical Assessments – Depending on the final assessment method you choose, you might need to submit video evidence demonstrating your technique and understanding of intimate health practices on a live equine subject (with appropriate permissions and guidance). Or in-person practical assessment fully supported and guided by your tutor.
Final Exam – A comprehensive practical demonstration that will cover all aspects of the course. This will be the main assessment to confirm your readiness to offer the service professionally. This is offered both virtually and in-person - You choose!

To complete the Equine Intimate Health training, no prior specialised experience is required.
We specialise in teaching those new to the industry.
However, having some basic equine care experience will be beneficial and therefore being confident handling horses is a specific requirement to undertake the course.
Basic Horse Care Knowledge – Understanding general equine care, such as grooming, feeding, and handling, will make learning the specific intimate health aspects easier. If you’re familiar with horses and their needs, you'll be able to apply this knowledge in a more focused way.
Comfort Around Horses – Experience with being around and handling horses is key, as you'll need to feel confident and safe working with them during the course.
